Use Numerics seamlessly between your devices with Handoff.
Numerics, supports Handoff, a feature that lets you start viewing a KPI on one device and then seamlessly continue on another.
What is Handoff?
Handoff allows you to start something on one Apple device and then seamlessly pick it up on another. For example, with Numerics, you can start viewing a KPI on your Apple Watch and then continue on your iPhone or Mac. Handoff works with Numerics, to provide a smooth transition between your devices.
Requirements for Using Handoff
To use Handoff with Numerics, your devices need to meet the following requirements:
Your Apple devices must support Continuity. To check this, you can refer to Apple's official Continuity system requirements page.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Handoff must be turned on in System Settings (on your Mac) and in Settings (on your iOS and iPadOS devices).
You must be signed in with the same Apple ID on all your devices.
You must have iCloud Sync enabled on your Numerics app.
Turning Handoff On or Off
If you want to use Handoff with Numerics, it needs to be turned on for your devices. Here's how:
On your Mac: Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, click AirDrop & Handoff on the right, then turn “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices” on or off.
On iPad, iPhone or iPod touch: Go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff, then turn Handoff on or off.
On Apple Watch: Open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, go to My Watch > General, then turn Enable Handoff on or off.
Using Handoff with Numerics
From your Apple Watch to an iOS device or Mac: When viewing a KPI on your Apple Watch, the Handoff icon of the Numerics app appears on your iPhone (at the bottom of the app switcher) or your Mac (near the right end of the Dock). Tap or click the icon to continue viewing the KPI on the respective device.
From an iOS device to your Mac: If you're viewing a KPI on your iPhone, the Handoff icon of the Numerics app appears on your Mac near the right end of the Dock. Click the icon to continue viewing the KPI on your Mac.
Remember that Handoff is a tool for convenience and continuity in your workflow. By understanding how to use it effectively with Numerics, you can move smoothly between devices without losing your progress or context. This allows you to leverage the unique capabilities of each of your devices, whether it's the portability of your Apple Watch, the touch interface of your iPhone, or the powerful capabilities of your Mac.
